‘These are intimate works inviting the viewer into a dialogue with the sensitive surfaces. If poetic space is used, descriptive of feeling, rather than seeing. Shapes are suggestive of objects or places, but a state of mind is what we sense here, where feelings are distilled…..Distance is also an important element in these pieces, distance is implied because of each image diffused, as if viewed through gauze or in a memory dredged up from watery depths or from deep in the earths crust, images from a sub-conscious state’.
